Motor reverse operation is essentially done by the management of wires and magnetic fields. Thus, you can frequently reverse motors by switching the wire connections. Since each wire contains a positive and negative current inside the magnetic fields, the flip-flopping of central and starter wires causes the motor to run in reverse rotation. This interchanging of wires works because the polarity of the magnetic field is reversed, therefore reversing the motor.
