Heat Pumps

Heat pumps do not produce heat. They reallocate heat from the ground or air and use a refrigerant that circulates between the internal fan coil (air handler) unit and the outdoor compressor to transfer the heat. In cooling mode, a heat pump engrosses heat inside your house and releases it outwards. Heat pumps provide an energy-efficient alternative to air conditioners and furnaces for all weather conditions. Like your refrigerator, heat pumps use electricity to transfer heat from a cool space to a warm space, creating the cool space cooler and the warm space warmer. For Heat pumps, the thermally insulated solid state relay can help shut down the heating element if there is a difficulty with the temperature controller that causes a temperature runaway, thereby protecting the entire system.
